A side gusset bag has expanding pleats (gussets) on both sides that open out as the bag is filled, giving it the classic rectangular coffee-bag shape. It stands upright when filled, holds maximum volume for its footprint, and pairs naturally with degassing valves and tin ties.

Our stock range covers 250g, 500g, 1kg, 2.5kg and 5kg. The larger sizes make side gusset the go-to format for wholesale coffee, hospitality and bulk dry foods like rice and flour. Bags are sized by coffee weight — whole beans need more room than ground.

The traditional side gusset construction uses a tin tie rather than a zip — selected bags in our range include one for easy reclosing. If a zip closure is essential, look at our box bottom bags or stand up pouches, which offer resealable zips across most sizes.

Most sizes and colours in our range are available with a one-way degassing valve fitted. The valve lets CO2 from freshly roasted coffee escape without letting oxygen in, keeping coffee fresher and stopping the bag from swelling. Each product page lists valve options per variant.
